We got into Palmyra, NY today. We visited the place the first Book of Mormons were printed, and learned about how it was done. We also visited the Joseph Smith farm and the Sacred Grove. It was really neat. The boys ran around, even when we asked them not to. They are so full of energy all the time. (they make me crazy!!!)
After the farm, we visited the Hill Camorah (not sure if that is spelled right) -- the place Joseph found the gold plates.... They have the neatest visitor's center -- but we didn't have enough time to see everything. We had to get back on the road.
Our goal was to get outside Kirtland, Ohio... it didn't happen. We were coming into Buffalo, NY and just getting ready to go thru the toll booth, and a tire on the trailer came off the rim... Exciting, huh?? Well.... we did get it fixed, and all is well, but it did make it so we didn't get as far as we needed to today. We are hoping to drive thru Kirtland tomorrow, at least for a little bit and then on thru Chicago - and see how far we can get. I am going to add some pics to the end of this from today....
